- Disconnected operations slowed a growing supply chain: Strauss needed to bring structure and digital visibility to a complex, multi-location network where manual processes and siloed systems made fulfillment slow and scaling difficult.
- Transformation without disruption: launching a new logistics hub meant modernizing fast but without jeopardizing existing operations or interrupting customer commitments.
Solution
- Intelligent orchestration through connected systems: Strauss implemented Infios WM (Warehouse Management), Infios WCS (Warehouse Control System), and Infios DOM (Distributed Order Management) to synchronize inventory, automation and order flows across sites.
- Simulated precision, automated execution: with a digital twin modeling end-to-end operations, Strauss anticipates demand shifts and process bottlenecks before they occur, powering a 20-aisle small parts warehouse, a 16-aisle shuttle warehouse, 430 automated vehicles and 28 goods-to-person stations in perfect coordination.
- Record-breaking implementation: the digital twin enabled rapid, low-effort go-live and ongoing improvements. All warehouse components (WMS, WCS, interfaces) were pre-tested and parameterized, ensuring productivity from day one.
